Join us for the 4th Annual Central Florida GIS Workshop to be held at the Ocean Center, Daytona Beach, Florida, September 23-24, 2010.

We are pleased to announce Mr. Jim Geringer - Wyoming Governor from 1995-2003 and currently Director of Public Policy and Strategy, ESRI as our Keynote Speaker.

Our Friday Luncheon Keynote will be Dr. Robert F. Austin, Enterprise Application Integration Manager, City of Tampa, and President, Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA).

In keeping with the changing economic and environmental concerns, the 2010 Workshop Program intends to focus this year on Multi-tiered Government Collaboration, the Environment and Public Safety. We are adding a new tract - GIS in Education - in view of the Workshop's goal to reach out to local schools as part of the GeoMentor Program.

Looking forward to your participation, lots of networking, and sharing great GIS ideas,

The Central Florida GIS Workshop Committee

IN THE NEWS

The Central Florida GIS Workshop Inc., has 'adopted' the Crooms Academy of Information Technology (AOIT), in Seminole County as the first school in its commitment to assist in the promotion of education in the community. As part of the GeoMentor Program, the Workshop has provided ESRI ArcView licenses to the school and will assist the educators and their students to develop GIS skills.

The school will be looking for GIS internships, preferable paid, this year. If you have a need for an intern, please contact us. Your involvement will be greatly appreciated.
